Story

Originally from Louisiana, I have a taste for great food, and warm weather…but college ultimately took me away from both. Jesus saved me, and I began to follow Him one month before my 16th birthday. It’s a crazy God story, and one I love to tell. I knew early on that my path would be one of ministry, I just didn’t know where it would take me, so I ran like hell.
After 20 months in college of pure rebellion against God, I stopped running, and started living. I began to accept my role in God’s story. Since then I have competed to make the world team in wrestling, played football for the New Orleans Saints, coached at a collegiate level, and sold copy machines…every event pointing me toward the destiny He has for my life.
For almost 7 years now I have committed my life to reaching the people that everyone else walked away from. It has been a wild ride, ending here in Atlanta. I have come to love this city deeply, and intend to serve with diligence the people here that live on the margins, and hope that Jesus would send some that will serve with me to see the peace and love of God reconcile men to their creator and communities to each other. I will ramble, put my foot in my mouth, and occasionally say something that may inspire, but through it all, forgive my fallacies and flaws, after all, I am just another messed up guy who’s heart was arrested by the love and grace of Jesus.
Contact & Speaking
Before I was a pastor or church planter, I spent weeks on the road speaking all over the country. It is something that I have missed, especially speaking to students. In 2006 I spoke to nearly 20,000 young people all over the country. If you or anyone you know is interested in having me speak, shoot me an email, and we will make arrangements. I don’t have weird request, or preset honorariums. I just come and it usually works itself out .
Also, if you need to contact me for any other reason, too private for blog world or whatever the case, again, email is the best way. (leoncecrumpjr@gmail.com)
