- being a professional Christian is easy
- there is something dysfunctional in the relationship between the American church and the culture
- the culture does not feel they need us
- the culture is not at all grateful for us
- we have gone from condemning the culture, to critiquing the culture, then several decades ago we started to copy the culture, and now we tend to consume the culture
- God has required us to cultivate, taking what’s already good and keeping it good
- we are not known as custodians of what is already good thanks to the common grace of God
- God also asked us to create culture
- every culture has the essence or glory of itself
- culture only changes when you make more of it
- an unbreakable law of culture is that it is always done together
- creative circles of about 3 people are the start of creating culture good
- whenever culture changes it moves the cultural horizon
- only a group of three can maintain the suspension of impossibility,
- the 3 grows to 12 that bring depth, and the 12 grows to 120 and it brings breadth in an effort to create something new….to create culture
- the people you serve are creating culture by having to live out their faith daily in the midst of culture
- What are you cultivating? What good in the world, by Gods common grace, are you maintaining?
- What are you creating?
- Who is in your creative circle?
