Last night I felt compelled to re-communicate the core values of ZAO to our community…
I quickly learned that I have been doing a poor job of keeping them in the front of the minds of our community, and at first it pricked me to the core…but what came next blew me away…
There was a sudden renewal in their hearts of the vision of ZAO, and the reason that we gather on a weekly basis, and spend time in small groups together, and i saw a certain level of re-commitment and excitement emerge…
It wasn’t their fault that ZAO began to drift off course, it was mine; If we do not lead with a conviction to keep the vision that God has placed in our heart at the front of those you lead , then you can not expect them to follow, or be full engaged…
What a simple wake up call… sometimes we spend so much time doing things intuitively, that we forget they more often need intentionality…
