Coming into the Easter season, which is the highest attended worship time of the year, I have had this thought running through my mind relative to the area in which I live. In case you have not looked at my profile, I live in Tennessee, the shiny buckle of the said bible belt, and what I have come to realize, to my own dismay, is that here many people have an impression of who Jesus is. They have equated Him with religion and religious practice, showing up to a building on Sunday morning, and the guy who died for their mistakes, but they have no need to know Him intimately. I hope in this series to apologetically and lovingly present the origin, nature/mission, and the sacrifice of Jesus that has been made for them. At the end of this, I hope their desire is sparked to come to intimately know and ultimately follow this revolutionary rabbi…this true Jesus of the bible. So, I hope for the first time as I introduce my savior friend Jesus to them, I hope they respond; hello, my name is_______ and I want to know who you really are and this LIFE that you speak of…
Hello my name is JESUS
