Ø We distance ourselves from sinner’s instead of distancing ourselves from sin…this is wrong

Ø Part of our mission is to be who we are, engaged in culture….

Ø If the 1950’s come back…most churches are ready to go….

Ø We have to live as sent people instead of store front’s dispensing religious goods and services

Ø We can find ourselves locked into a sub-culture and not advancing in a mission

Ø It’s no longer about engaging culture, but instead engaging culture’s

Ø People don’t want to believe that in our churches different expression’s can make way for Jesus to operate

Ø To many churches are more in love with their preferences than they are with lost people

Ø In order to be missional we must:

o Contend

o Contextualize

o Cooperate

Ø When we equate change with compromise we begin to put theological VALUE on our own PREFERENCES

Ø People, churches, and denominations never change until the pain of staying the same grows greater than the pain of change

Ø Most of us live the same as the world but look different…when mission says that we look similar but live different
